agua por favor!

Polluted water in Kuala Lumpur. That's what happens when you teach pigs how to swim. And it gives a whole new meaning to the word 'septic' tank. Now I understand why everyone around me is ill. Drinking water my ass. Stinking water more like it. Someone is going to blame someone and no-one is going to take responsibilty for it. It took them this long to admit there was a problem. I want clean water. I can't afford to fill my bathtub with Spritzer. It's no wonder my morning coffee has had a muddy taste to it. And all this weight I'm putting on round my waist. I've been drinking several mugs of pork-fee everyday! And did I mention that this queen hasn't held court this past few days? At least I'm saving on the loo rolls.

All hail our developed nation!

Lucky for me, the water I get is perfectly fine! Tasted like before and occasionally decorated with drowned ants in the cup.

Pigs and shit, that's just great, innit? No offence, but there's gonna be a lot of thirsty malaysian muslim people. Oh, isn't the World's Most Expensive coffee bean the one that comes out a ferret's ass?

You meant to say that you can't afford to fill your bathtub with Spritzer ANYMORE, right? LOL! I thought it would be Evian....;o)

Oh I see you live in the world where Malaysian celebrities ACTUALLY have Swiss bank accounts. And why Evian? Why not go for Perrier? The bubbles act as a body scrubbing agent. :o)

Hey guys! Come to Oz ! Come to OZ! Where I now live, we drink OZ water straight off the tap.....good clean drinking water. It took me a while to get rid of my M'sian habit of boiling water to drink... cannot forget the image of slimy brown gunk coated on the water filter each time i changed it! I believe there are now coin machines in yr area where one can buy clean water. Is that just a trendy phase or is water quality that bad there now?

These water machines are usually situation right over our 'oh-so-clean' drains by the shophouses. Such incentives they give us. I'm sure you remember the water conditions when you were here. Things haven't changed much. The respective bodies do try and give us a fresh and clean supply of water. But putting a water refinery right next to a pig farm is bound to cause problems and this time it did. It seems no one in our country is concerned about proper city planning. Look at the mess in KL itself. My area used to be one of the most respected places to live. Now, City Hall can't decide what zone they want it in. It's supposed to be residential yet we have cars parked on our lanes (thanks to the Celcom tower they built right in front of us), a Public Rescue Dept (boats, trucks...) and the value of the property has dropped tremendously.

It's just things we live with because we love our country. Internationally we stand our ground. Domestically we stink, just like the water we now drink. I'll come to Sydney just for a clean glass anytime.

Eh...cos Evian's special bottles are collector's item? Nola, I don't live in such a world, but can always dream, right? Haha, body scrubbing agent. Good one, I definitely see why you're the one on the stage and I'm the one cowering in my seat when you are looking into the audience for a volunteer! :p Anyway, this water problem is happening in PJ too.

hey edwin,
u dont have to travel so far to sydney for a clean glass of water. singapore has it too... *winks*

and to think, the msian govt complaint that spore sells the water back at a much higher price from the original price, bought from msia. but at least, the quality of water there is good and there's no doubt abt it.
